Getting lots done

We've been working hard at getting some things done around the house. One project was putting some flooring in the mudroom. Matt had a friend come over and help move the freeze to get the flooring under it. Guss will end up in the mudroom once we are completely done. G1 was just anxious for the kennel to get out there (it is back in the house right now).

G1 picked out the camo floor a while ago and Matt and I picked it up one day while the 3 older Gs were in school. G1 had no clue we had gotten it until Saturday before putting it down. He was pretty excited.
After getting the floor down. Matt started working on a half wall. Because of lack of storage space in the kitchen some of my kitchen stuff has to be stored in the mudroom; my KitchenAid, bread machine, crockpots, etc. I don't want Guss messing with them, or his food, or the trash can so that's the reason for the wall.

I didn't realize the picture of Guss was so out of focus until I got it on the computer. Oh well, there he is.




I still need to paint and I will be making a curtain to put up to cover the door. But I'm pretty happy with way it is looking so far.

Another project was curtains for the bathroom. I am not crafty at all and sewing does not come easy to me like it seems to for my sister and mother. But I am pretty pleased with the way the curtains turned out.

This first one is for the window (the wall is still being worked on--I just finished mudding and sanding and am ready to prime then paint).
The second is for the door way. Now when you are in the bathroom you have a little more privacy. I will be changing the tie-back eventually.
