Fun in the sun

We all love to be outside. If we didn't get too hot and didn't have to worry about the sun then we would probably spend all day everyday outside. (Well, actually Matt would spend all day every day in front of the TV playing X-Box if I would allow it.)

Yesterday we spent quite a bit of time out at my mom's house. My mom and Dean will be taking Felicia back to Texas this weekend and we wanted to be able to spend some time with her before they left. While we were there we played games, we went for a wagon ride (with Felicia driving the tractor) and we played in the water. We took one of our sprinklers out to play with and Felicia and Alysa had water balloons. They also were shooting some paintballs, but not much. There wasn't much CO2.

The wagon ride was pretty fun. It was the girls' first time riding in the wagon behind the tractor. They seemed to enjoy it, G1 of course loved it. He loves tractors and being outside.

In this picture of our family, G3 is on the left and G2 is on the right.

We also got to see what G2 would look like if she had hair. It was pretty funny. We would have put a wig on G3 also but she was sleeping. Oh, and G3 learned how to play pool. Or he at least learned how to play to benefit him. He stands up on the table and puts the balls in that way. He was also dancing on the pool table for a little bit.
We had a pretty fun day/evening. I wish we were able to spend more time with Felicia. G3 really likes her; we all do.

The water isn't really splashing G2 in the face, but I thought this was cute because it looks like it is.

Every Thursday we get together with some of the other kids from church (and their moms and sometimes dads) at one of the local parks. It's kind of nice to get some adult interaction and for G1 to have some time to play with kids his own age. Well, today it was just us and 1 other mom and her 3 kids. She has a boy just older than G1 (so he would be 2), a boy that is 4 and a little girl just younger than my girls (just over 6 months). Normally there are at least a few more moms there with their kids. But that was okay. It got hot pretty fast so we didn't stay too long, and neither did the other mom. I did manage to get a video of my 3 swinging though. (I'm not getting it to upload right now, so I will have to try again later. Sorry.) Now they are all taking what I hope to be nice long naps.

Well-child check ups

All 3 kids had well-child check ups this morning. Let me tell you, it is becoming quite the task to take G1 anywhere. He is such a handful. He did really well when we first got there. He went right to where they keep the toys. But after being there just a short amount of time he tried to run right back out the door. As handy as having automatic doors is they sure are a pain when you have a 2 year old trying to escape. Good thing I had Matt with me and didn't have to try to attempt taking them all myself.

G1 weighs 24.7 lbs and is 34 inches tall. Doctor says he is doing great.

G2 weighs 14 lbs 8 oz and is 25.5 inches tall.

G3weighs 14 lbs 5 oz and is 25.5 inches tall. (G2 has finally surpassed her sister in weight. I think she's been working very hard on this.)

The doctor is impressed with how well the girls are doing. He told us to keep doing what we are doing. That was great to hear.

We don't go back for 3 months with the girls and we go back in 6 months with G1.

I decided to put the girls in G1's room. Last night was the first night trying it out. I think it went pretty well. We will still have to see.

The reason I put them in his room is because they had been just out in the main room. Well, actually it use to be the living room but we put the living room in what would be the dining room. You can tell it is 2 separate rooms but they were still right out in the open. I decided that they needed to be in a room that is not so noisy and can be darker. Wish us luck.

They are so cute and funny!

We went to the RecPlex last night so Matt could play softball on his friend Brian's team. While there Brian's girlfriend, Jenna, and I were very much entertained by the girlies. (G1 was asleep). G3 took G2's hat off of her and they were having a lot of fun. They were busy cracking each other up for quite a while. They were also cracking Jenna and I up. Here is a little video of what they were doing. Right after I turned off the camera G3 took both hats, raised them up over her shoulders and squealed with glee, as if to say "Ha Ha they are all mine!" Very very cute. FYI-G3 is on the left in this video. (Let's hope this works.)

Then when we got home G2 put on the hat that G3 had been wearing.

Oh, and I had to put in this picture of me and G2.

Rice crispy treats!

I made some rice crispy treats yesterday while Eryn was here. Today G1 has decided that they didn't need to be cut to eat. So he walked around eating a BIG rice crispy treat. Well, he had give G3 part of that without me realizing. (You'd think I'd learn to pay better attention to him. lol) I looked over at her thinking she was just chewing away on Puffs. Then I realized that what she had was way to BIG for Puffs. I took it away from her but I did get a picture before cleaning her up. I was tempted to give her the rice crispy treat back just for the picture but I just couldn't do it. Anyway here is the picture. Oh, and I added one of G2 just because she posed for the camera and looks so cute! : )

LOTS and LOTS of pictures!!!

There's really not much going on here. We are still trying to figure out what we want to do when we move to Galesburg (as in buy or rent or what). G2 has learned how to go from a crawling position to sitting. She seems so proud of herself after she does it, it is adorable. Other than that nothing new.

Cousin Eryn is staying up here for a few weeks until her parents get up here. She stayed the night last night. The kids all had a lot of fun together.

I just wanted to post some pictures. FYI: In all pictures with the girls unless otherwise stated G2 is on the left and G3 is on the right. Oh yeah, in a couple pictures G2 has a Gerber Puff stuck to her cheek, and that is diaper rash cream all over G1's head (it is one of his favorite things to play with, it drives me nuts!).

Trains, Trains, and more Trains

For G1's birthday he got a couple Thomas train sets. Tuesday we set them up. I think Matt and I were more excited about them than G1 was at first. : ) After setting them up we put G3 in the middle. At first she wasn't quite sure what to think, but then she got excited and tried to attack the trains.
We had gotten a couple expansion packs to add more pieces to the train set. The one pack had 52 pieces and was really cool. We would have been able to have the trains go up over a road. We were pretty excited about it. Well, when we got it open we realized we didn't have some of the right pieces. We took it back to the store to exchange it, but the were all out.
: ( That was pretty disappointing. Oh well, G1 thinks it is pretty cool the way it is.

Wednesday we went to look at a house that is for rent in Abingdon (it's a itty bitty town right outside Galesburg). The house seems pretty nice. We just need to discuss it some more and decide what we really want to do. After looking at the house we went to Galesburg. It was the grand opening of the SuperWal-Mart. While there G1 and Daddy got their picture taken with Chester the Cheetah (the Cheetos character). The new store is pretty nice.
I wanted Matt to post this but he didn't get it done and I'm not a patient person. Sorry for posting it and not waiting for you to do it Matt.

CHEEEEEESE!!!

I was taking pictures on our way back from Galesburg today and G1 kept saying "Cheeeeese" wanting me to take a picture of him. I had to share a few of them because it isn't very often that he lets me take pictures of him.
