Happy Halloween!

G4 is now 5 months old (as of Tuesday). She is getting so big. According to our scale she is 16-16.5 pounds. She can sit on her own. She grabs at everything. She is still nursing every 2-3 hours during the day and every 3-5 hours at night. She won't sleep unless I am holding her or laying next to her; meaning I can't get anything done at nighttime (except blogging and that's seldom anymore). She can just about push up onto her hands and knees. We (Matt) brought the walker up from the basement. She can go backwards in it. She did got forward a little bit a couple times. Of course she doesn't know she's doing it yet. But I'm sure within a month she will be all over the place in it (if she's anything like G1 was). She is really interacting with the "big kids" now and they love it.

For Halloween G1 was a prince and the girls were ballerinas. We had our ward's Fall Festival that we went to. I barely used my camera there. There were so many cute costumes but I only got a few pictures of my family and Elizabeth & Patrick and Marty, Janina and their children. Wednesday (yesterday) we went to Macomb's trunk-or-treat with Marcia and Jacob. We only got a few pictures from there too. Sometimes I am just a big slacker with taking pictures.

Tuesday I got a few cute pictures while we were at Matt's parent's house.

We stayed at Marcia and Jacob's house Wednesday night. Then before leaving town today we went to the park. The Gs all had fun.

I went to take a picture of Matt. He always gives me weird looks when I take his picture. So, I told him to smile like he loves me. This is what I got:

When he told me the same thing this is what I did:

When he took his own picture this is how he smiled:

Does that seem strange to anyone else???

I took this picture of him while he was airing up our tire. I think he is starting to look old (well for him anyway).

G1 is starting to look really grown up. It is so bittersweet.

Marcia got a new toy (I'll let her tell y'all about it if she wants to). Here is a picture of her with it.

G1 and G4 napping after we got home today:

I've got some videos that I hope to post within the next few days (but I won't make any promises!).

Having fun

Since we (by we I mean Dean and Matt) tore out one of the bathroom windows we needed to get some siding for that part of the house. So, we (Matt and I) loaded the Gs up and headed to Menards. There G4 sat in the cart *like a big girl* for the first time. She looked so grown up. Her and her big sisters loved it.

G3 seems to be accident prone. Poor girl! In this picture you will notice her floor burns on the side of her face (somersault incident) and the band-aid on her finger (playing in the cupboards incident--no idea what happened).

We have been having a hard time getting G1 to eat pretty much any meal but breakfast. Now I would eat breakfast foods for every meal everyday but my lovely husband would protest to that. G1 likes chicken *most of the time* but not lately for some reason. He likes most Mexican dishes too. I made tacos for lunch a couple days ago. As I was uploading pictures to the computer I noticed this picture of G1 eating his taco. It kind of looks like he has a straw and is drinking the ranch dressing out of the bottle. I just found it entertaining.

That same day I picked up some cupcakes from Wal-Mart (this is a very very rare thing). I got some Strawberry Shortcake ones and some Spiderman (the black Spiderman--what's he called?) ones. These cupcakes came with rings on them which my children thought was the coolest thing.

Here is G2 making a big mess.

Here is G4's new "toe-ring."

Later Daddy fed her some cereal (which is pretty much just breast milk).

"Ha, I've got the spoon!"

Just being cute.

G2 and G3 played Peek-A-Boo for quite a while with each other the other day while G1 and G4 were napping. So cute!

Today as I was cleaning up from lunch G1 started pushing the coffee table (can you really call it a coffee table when you don't drink coffee???) around the living room. Instead of getting irritated I decided to make this a fun thing. Surprised?!?! I know! I put the couch cushions (SHOCK!!!) on the floor next to the coffee table. (As some of you know, having the couch cushions off of the couch absolutely drives me bonkers. I don't know why. It's just something I can't seem to get past.) I think the *big* girls need to learn how to jump and I thought this would be a fun way for them to learn. So I showed them how to jump off of there. They all thought that was great fun. So we played for a little while doing that.

G2 playing with a hat

I really like this picture (not the fact that G2 is mad though).

G2 saying "Peek-A-Boo"

After taking naps and eating snacks we ran around the table (this is a normal thing--we chase each other around). Here are the Gs taking a "breather." During this time G1 went and got a toy phone. I heard him say on the phone "No, I'm not here. Talk to you later." It just cracked me up!

In this picture G3 is nursing her (actually I think it is G2's) baby and *talking* on a phone. I wonder where she learned that??

G2

I guess she thought her foot needed to see also.

G2 getting ready to pout because G3 took a toy away from her.

G3--I guess her foot needed to see also.

As I was getting dinner ready the *big* Gs were playing in the cupboard. I knew G1 was inside the cupboard. I was ready for them all to get into their seats to eat. So, I told G1 to get out of the cupboard and go to the table. His response "I can't. You need to unlock me!" Sure enough, he had locked himself in the cupboard. I thought that was pretty cute.

This evening after dinner instead of jumping off the coffee table G1 decided to do somersaults off of the coffee table. G4 got bored watching and fell asleep. :-)

G2's way of doing somersaults off the coffee table.

G3 dancing or doing something that looked like dancing:

As I was busy taking pictures of G1 and G2 doing somersaults I heard G3 gabbering away. I looked over at her and this is what I found.

She told me she was saying prayers. So sweet!! G2 heard that and needed to say prayers of her own. Just melts my heart!

Here is a video of the *big* Gs jumping off the coffee table. You can here G2 say "Help" (amongst all her gibberish) and "No Bubby." She just has the sweetest little voice--especially for such a growly girl!

This video (videos) is the somersault action (as well as some Hokey-Pokey-ing). Notice even I mess up on the girls' names ("Gre-Geneva"). Of course I don't think it was because I got the girls confused. In fact most of the time all of my children are Matthew.
