Yesterday G4 turned 2-months old. She was in such a good mood all morning; until her check-up. Poor baby got shots. After that she slept most of the day and if she wasn't sleeping she was crying. :-( She didn't nurse too well yesterday either (so today I hurt!). Her stats are: 11 lbs 9 oz (75th percentile) 23 1/4 inches (90th percentile) and her head is in the 98th percentile. She is growing great. We don't go back until she is 4 months. Here are some pictures from getting ready for the day yesterday. She was making some silly faces at her siblings.
This Makes For Not A Very Happy Mommy!!
While I was paying bills the other day the older 3 were doing well playing with each other. When I heard them laughing I didn't think too much of it because they do have a lot of fun together. Well, when I heard G4 start to cry I looked and this is what I found:
G2--she is the one I found holding the tube of diaper rash cream
When I went to check on the girls the other night this is what I found (G2 is the one on both beds): Just too cute to not post: Our shrub is doing really well. I swear every day I am taking picture of it because it is so pretty--and every day it looks different than the previous day. Another video of G4 being sweet. If you turn up your volume/listen carefully you can hear her "talking"
G2 has a black eye right now (actually it's almost gone). What happened is--G1 knocked her down (not sure if it was on purpose or not) and she hit our bed frame. Poor girl--it looked so bad. She looked like she had dark purple eye shadow on.
This is G3's "CHHHEEEESSSEE" face.
The "big" G's love playing in G4's swing--I'm not sure how to convince G1 that he really is too big though (this is G2 by the way) This is one of the few times that G4 did not throw fit about having tummy time. I've never had a child throw as big of a fit as she does about being on their tummy. Of course I think it helped that G3 was sitting/laying with her, playing with her.
G3
Yesterday we went down to Mom's (Grammy's). G1 has a new friend--it is the "Chief" that she has on her front porch. G2 (in blue) and G3 (in pink) were a little apprehensive about him though.
G4 yelling at me

G4's favorite thing is her swing. If nothing else (including nursing) will make her happy we know we can put her in her swing and she'll be fine. It's so cute; sometimes she gets so excited, her little feet get kicking so much.
I can't believe how big all the Gs are getting. G1, 2 and 3 have all caught up (mostly) to the size of other kids their age. The are all talking so much. We are starting to understand a lot of what G2 and G3 are saying. When they are getting along they are so much fun. I love that they can all communicate their wants and needs to us so well. G4 is smiling and "talking" so much. She only laughs a little bit; me and the girls are the only ones she's laughed for so far (that I know of). She is wearing mostly 3-6 month clothes and she's not 2 months old yet!! They all love each other so much. It's wonderful.
Oh, a big milestone for me--yesterday before going to Mom's; I took the 4 Gs to the grocery store all by myself (Matt was with Poppy) and other than getting back in the Mountaineer, it went really smoothly. I was so excited to know that I can do it. (Not that I really doubted that I would be able to...)
Matt now wears glasses and I got new glasses. Here is Matt's before glasses and with glasses pictures. And pictures of me with my old glasses and my new glasses.
On Thursday I went up to watch the big girls and we had fun. I have pictures somewhere of that. I am not sure if they are still on the camera or on the computer, but I am too lazy to find them at the moment. While I was up, We had some fun conversations with G1.
Conversation 1:
We were dropping Matt's supper off to him at the rail yard G1 unbuckled his seatbelt as Ronda started the car to leave Marcia: buckle that Ronda stopped the car for him to buckle up G1: I'll buckle it at home Marcia: you'll buckle it now He did.
Conversation 2:
Immediately following the 1st conversation G1: I want to see trains Ronda: There are trains all around us look out the windows G1: I don't see trains Marcia: (pointing at the engine next to us) What is that? G1: Not trains A few seconds lapse. G1: (points to a long train out the other window) That's not a train.... It's cars
Conversation 3:
(Ronda was holding change for a reason I can not remember at this time, we were parked in the car) G1: I want a quarter Ronda: I'll give you a penny G1: A nickel Ronda: I'll give you a penny G1: A nickel Ronda: I don't have a nickel, I'll give you a penny G1: Marcia has a nickel Marcia: Actually I do not have a nickel today Ronda: Want a dime? G1: Nnnnnnnnyes, a nickel Ronda: It is not a negotiation G1: It a nenanenatin (more or less sounded like that)
Conversation 4:
Not quite sure what started this one.... Marcia: G1 you crack me up G1: I did not wake you up Marcia: No, you did not wake me up G1: I make you happy Marcia: Yes you do (This is where I get teary)
And now for a video that I was supposed to post almost 2 months ago of G2 and G3 climbing back and forth in the two cribs when Ronda was in the hospital to have G4. Can you believe that Giuliana is almost 2 months old!
WARNING the video is 4 and a half minutes long.
The funniest part of the whole flopping back and forth thing is that in the morning G2 went back to her crib before getting my attention, and stood there looking pathetic trying to get me to believe that she was "stuck" in her crib!
We decided to change the big girls from their cribs to toddler beds. Since they are climbing out of the cribs anyway we figured this is going to be safer. So, Tuesday evening Matt and I got their toddler beds set up. When I talked to them about what we were going to do they seemed really excited. But once we moved the one crib for G4 out of the way and started turning the other crib into a toddler bed they didn't seem to happy. At first G1 was not happy that we were giving "his big boy bed" to his sisters, but he got over it quickly (the white bed is the one we got for his 1st birthday).
After we got the toddler beds all ready G1, G2 and G3 jumped around on the beds for awhile. Once it was time for bed G2 was not happy at all. She screamed for quite a while. G3 did like she always does at bed time and just laid there looking around, chewing on her "Happy" thing.
This is what I found when I went up to check on them before going to bed myself (G2 fell out of bed right after I took this picture): This is what I found when I went up to check on the girls tonight. I couldn't even get the door open wide enough to get through. (This is G3 by the way.) After G1 and I's eye doctor appointment Thursday we went into the optical part of the office to order my new glasses and pick out Matt's safety glasses. G1 helped try some on. G1 and I both got our eyes dilated. G2 and G3 enjoyed playing with the sunglasses things that I got to protect my eyes from the sun. Oh, yeah. Aunt Marcia came up for the day to watch the girls so Matt could drive G1 and I to the eye doctor. We had a lot of fun with her. This is what Matt found when he got home from work last night. Normally the kids are in bed no later than 8 but last night I needed to get Marcia to the train station and when I got home and got the kids in G1 wanted to cuddle on the couch. I was okay with that so he went and got all of their blankets and "Happys" (yes I know that isn't spelled correctly but "Happy" is the name) and we all laid on the couch and fell asleep. (The above picture ^^ was taken after Matt picked up G2 and then decided she needed a diaper change. Her legs are filthy because they had suckers and got all sticky and I just didn't get them cleaned up.) Matt decided that was a perfect opportunity to take a family picture. He's a silly guy. :-)
