Just for fun

Here is a couple videos of the girls from today (the 2 videos are together). In between the videos (you can tell because Matt muted the music for the second video) G2 went to give G3 a kiss and G3 smacked her. lol It was kind of funny.

The outfits they are wearing are a couple that we got from someone (can't remember exactly who) and don't fit them. But as I was going through things G2 saw them and wanted them on.

The girls are getting to be such fun. They would be more fun if they would nap everyday and get along. But other than that they are perfect. :-)

They are learning more and more words everyday. G2 almost never crawls. G3 has been walking a little today--not much but more than normal. They learn new signs (when I take the time to teach them). They love each other and their brother (and the baby) very much. They (and the rest of us) can't wait for the warm weather to come and stay. They love it outside and often stand at the window watching outdoors.

Anyway, here's the video.

More fun at the park

Yesterday we went to the park. It was a little chilly but not too bad. The kids got to wear their new jackets (thanks Grandma Fairlie). We had a lot of fun and GMF x3 did not want to leave. I bonked my head once though. :-( The nice thing about the park we went to is they lay cut up rubber instead of mulch down. It doesn't hurt as much and doesn't seem to stick to the kids as much either.

*Just an FYI for anyone that cares--I now officially hate blogger. It won't let me move any pictures around like I want, it won't upload all of them and it won't let me post videos like I used to be able to do. I am no longer able to put the code in so that the video is right there--instead I have to post the one that makes you have to click on the link to then get to the video. ARGGH!!

Somebody help PLEASE!

NONE of the 3 will take naps now. It doesn't matter if we have them all in the same room, same bed, different beds, different rooms they won't take a nap. I can't take it anymore! That is the only time I would be able to get ANYTHING done because by the time I get them in bed for the night I am totally pooped and can't stand to be on my feet any longer. Bedtime has been coming earlier and earlier but I cannot put them to bed before 7 PM. With Matt not getting home from work until 11 PM there is no way we can get up before 7 AM (and that is hard sometimes). They are all so cranky by 6 PM and then I deal with screaming for the next hour or so. How do I get them to nap??? I have always had really good sleepers. I've never had trouble getting them to sleep. So what's changed? Why is it so hard now? I am at my wits end and need some advice. So if anyone has any ideas on how to get them to take their nap I would be very grateful!

30 week appointment

I had my 30 week OB/GYN appointment this morning.

Everything looks good. I am measuring 34 weeks! I have gained a total of 11 pounds (after gaining back what all I had lost in the beginning). The pains and everything I was having he figures are just "growing" pains but told me to keep an "eye" on them. The baby's heartbeat sound great.

I will post belly pictures and my measurement next week.

15 month check-up

We took the girls to Iowa for this 15 month check-up this morning. This was our last appointment with our pediatrician that I love and the nurses that I love. :-( But I am thankful to have found someone over here that I think I will like. (I think Matt's thankful too because of gas prices!)

The doctor was very impressed with how well the girls have "caught up" with the kids their age. With the exception of weight you would never guess they were preemies. Hooray!!

G2 weighs 19 lbs 6 oz and is 29 inches tall. G3 weighs 18 lbs 7 oz and is 28.75 inches tall. They are doing great and we didn't even need shots this time! YAY!!

After we got home I weighed G1 on our scale and he is 30 lbs. Holy cow!! Matt had him stand up to the height ruler thing on the back of the doctor's exam room door and he is right above 3 feet tall. My babies are getting big!

Tomorrow I have an OB/GYN appointment and will update how me and the baby are doing then (we are hoping for an ultrasound tomorrow).

How we spent our Easter...

I'm not feeling the best today--I'm having some strange pains and needing to take it easy (well as easy as I can with a 2-year old and 2 1-year olds). When we came downstairs the kids found their bags with goodies (we had some of their candy from yesterday and their presents from Grandma Fairlie in them). The kids of course started chowing away at the candy.

G1--he did not want to take time away from eating the candy to have his picture taken

I never want to hear Matt tell me he can't cook again. Around lunch time I asked him if he had figured out what he was feeding the kids. He said "Yes, whatever you fix." I told him "Nope" not going to happen. I needed to be laying down because of being in pain. So he got to looking for something to cook. He did a pretty good job too. G1 told him that it tasted good. :-)
He even told me that he would take over cooking if I would give him recipes and help him figure out what he's doing. I said that's fine--I won't even mind doing the dishes (as much) if he is willing to help cook. Tomorrow I will *hopefully* be teaching him how to make lasagna or manicotti (whichever he decides he wants more).
Here is the proof that he did the cooking (just in case he tries to deny it!):

Here is a video of G2 being goofy and then Daddy swinging the kids in the toy bin. G3 is first and then G2, then of course G1 (but I know you could have figured that out on your own).

Another one for today...

Well, my monkey children never cease to amaze me. G2 and G3 have learned how to climb out of the play pen (I will try to get a video of it sometime). Since we have all still been staying in the same room (the girls' and our bedrooms are taking longer than we had anticipated) we have been having trouble getting the kids to nap in the afternoon. We decided we needed to get the girls out of the bedroom. So, we put them in the playpen in their room. G1 took a nice nap today. But the girls didn't sleep a wink (although they were way over-tired). I had to keep going up to give G3 her "Happy thing" because G2 kept taking it from her and throwing it out. Which in turn made G3 scream her head off until I went up to help her. A little before the time that I generally go up to get them out of bed I heard some little thumps. So I went running upstairs to see what was going on. Much to my surprise the girls were standing outside of the play pen. I then put them back in and they immediately climbed out again!! ARGH!

We will be getting Mom's play pen to use for one of the girls at naptime now. Hopefully that will help. But of course who knows if they will even stay in them. I wish G1 would just let those girls sleeps so I could keep them in the crib during naptime.

I am going to post how big around I am so maybe that will help me to remember to measure. I will probably try to measure on the days that Matt takes pictures and just post with the pictures. But since I did not do that on Wednesday I will post today for Wednesday. I am measuring 44.5 inches around. (I just realized that that is almost 4 feet! Holy cow!!) That is up 3.5 inches from March 4th.

There is a picture of G1 missing. But blogger is screwing up for me so I'm not even going to try to put it back on here. Maybe another time....maybe not.

Happy day before Easter!

Last night Grammy and Poppy (Mom and Dean) kept a few of the grandkids overnight. Included in that were Bryan, Kaitlyn, Jesse and G1. They seemed to have a lot of fun and even had an Easter egg hunt this morning (before we got there to pick up G1). These first four pictures are of Grammy and Poppy and the grandkids (well the 6 of them that were in the house). I know they are practically the same pictures (1&2 and 3&4) but I haven't taken the time to edit any of the pictures to get everyone looking good in 1 picture.

After we left Grammy and Poppy's we headed to Iowa to do an Easter egg hunt with one of my friends and her daughter (Finley). It was a bit chilly but the kids all had fun. G1 collected the most eggs, I just think that's because he's the oldest. Then G2 was in close 2nd behind him. She just loved getting the eggs and putting them in her bag. G3 and Finley weren't so sure about all of it the entire time (I think it was just the chilly-ness getting to them).

We had a very good time. Thank you for inviting us LeAnn.
Now here are a few videos. The first is of G2 hunting for eggs. The second is of G1 and G2 playing with their food in the van. (Yes we are very bad parents and fed our children fast food--Taco Bell! GASP!) The last video is of G3 (also in the van) saying "Uh oh" after she threw her sippy cup on the floor. (Just like the last video I posted you will have to click on the link in order to watch the video. I don't know why this is being weird for me all of a sudden!)
