Overheard

I just overhead The Boy saying to his sisters, "I love my best friend."

I asked, "Who's your best friend?"

The Boy, "Daddy...and you!"

Я объявлю ответ, когда я добираюсь до этого. Удача и получает предположение!

I will post the answer when I get to it. Good luck and get guessing!

G2 and G3 know best!

It is G3's nose when she was 8.5 months old.

Saturday, March 28, 2009

G4 is 10 months

In 2 short months my baby is going to be 1. I can't believe how fast the time is going.
She isn't feeling very well today--hopefully it's nothing.

*Picture was taken with my phone--since I don't have my camera. So, it's not the best quality. But here she is at 7:59 AM; exactly 10 months old.*

I'm not as young as I used to be

Yesterday Matt, Mom, The Gs and I went to the St Louis Zoo.

We had a wonderful time.

We ate supper at Cracker Barrel.

The camera was left behind.

The nice guy I talked to this morning said he would send it UPS to me.

Hopefully next week I will be able to post more about the zoo along with pictures.

Until then I will be sad to not be able to take pictures of my beautiful children.

All I can say is G4 is NOT allowed to start walking before then!

*ETA: Title--We got home around midnight and I am exhausted today.

Cinco

I will post the answer some day. Good luck and get guessing!

Answer

Mom, Marcia and Matt are all half right. G1 was completely right. Rick was completely wrong, but good guessing anyway. :-P

It was G1's belly button.

Night One Update

Night One did not go so well. G4 went down at 9 and was asleep by 9:30 (that part amazed me, any other time we've tried it has taken at least an hour). She woke up at 10 and I turned on her music and she was back out by 10:10. Matt and I then went to bed. She was awake again and in my bed by 11. She then woke up to nurse at 1, 3, 5 and 7. Then was up for the day.

I put G4 down for a nap a little while ago and it took almost 45 minutes for her to go to sleep. I'm sure she will be awake again any minute and it's only been less than an hour that she's been upstairs. *I was right she is up about 5 minutes after this post was completed.*

G2 and G3 did great. When I asked G3 if she had a good night sleeping next to G2 she got excited and giggly. G2 gave me a blank stare. Strange girl. :-P I have a cute picture of them from last night that I will have to post later.

G1 learned how to tie a knot today. But he won't show me how he did it.

"I do it all the time. Since I was a baby."

Wish us luck!

Tonight will be night number one of transitioning G4 out of our bed, and then eventually bedroom. I know this will be a very hard thing for her and I both.

Thursday night G4 nursed at about 8:30 and went to sleep. She woke up to nurse at 10:30, 1:30, 3:00, 5:00 and then again at 7:30 and then was up for the day. I love breastfeeding. I think it is one of the most wonderful things, but man was that ridiculous. That is the way it is pretty much every night. No wonder I'm not fully refreshed when I wake up in the mornings.

This will also be night number one of G2 and G3 sharing a full-size bed. (Thank you Ginny and Rick!) G3 is excited. G2 told me she's not going to share a bed with her sister. We will see how it goes. G3's mattress went to the crib for G4. When G2 saw that she wanted her bed to go to G4 also. It was cute.

You are probably wondering where the title of this post ties in. It doesn't. It was just something funny G1 said at dinner tonight (dessert actually--which was ice cream). He was stirring his ice cream real fast and making it a liquid. I have only ever given him ice cream to feed himself maybe 1 or 2 other times and I don't think he has ever done that, so it cracked me up when he said it.

Letter D

Who does this belong to? I will post the answer when I get to it or whenever Matt bugs me to. Good luck and get guessing!

Answer

To me this one was obvious because of the lip color. Marcia was correct. It is G3 pre-teeth.

Need ideas

Do you remember how the girls' bedroom looks? Well, here is the post (2nd video). Matt and I just switched rooms with them. So, now we need ideas on how to paint their *new* bedroom and also our *new* bedroom. If it makes a difference, one half of our bedroom (where G2's and G3's beds were) is where our bed is and the other half will have my exercise thing, a recliner, and the T.V. I welcome suggestions on doing each half different.

Marcia, if you come up with something extravagant then you have to promise to come help me with it. :-) Matt's already told me he doesn't want to do any painting. I think he would prime but that would be it (he says the rooms are going to stay white--I say poo on him).

Uh oh

We really need to find a gate to fit our front stairway. G4 has learned how to climb the stairs and that is where she goes now. *I have a video but for some reason I can't get it to upload to anywhere* Our back stairway isn't a big deal. Any gate will work there, but our front stairs are another story. We have a banister post on one side and then an extra tall baseboard on the other side. If anyone can think of a good hardware mounted swing gate that would work there I would be very appreciative.
We had *thought* we had ordered one that would work but that is not what we got. I clicked on the correct gate, it showed the correct gate as I was checking out, then when the gate came it was the wrong one and it showed the wrong one in my past orders on my online account--this is not the first time this has happened with this store. I love shopping at the store in person but online is ridiculous.

Also, G4 took her first step yesterday. She was holding onto the computer chair, turned around and took a step to the desk. My baby's not going to be a baby much longer.

Quiz 3

This one isn't as easy. I will post the answer when Matt bugs me to. Good luck and get guessing!

Answer

It is indeed G4's right eye. And what a pretty eye it is! Good guessing all.

Picture heavy

Weather was beautiful.

We played outside.

The Gs had a blast.

G1 is definitely a boy.

G2 was in white and the only one to throw a fit.

G3 was in blue.

G4 learned a new trick that had G3 very worried.

Enjoy!

Don't they look so big?

"Sit down Nana!"

Hey look! I wasn't behind the camera!

Number 2

Once again I will post the answer when I feel like it. Good luck and get guessing!

Answer

The answer to the quiz was NOT a bowl of spaghetti. Good guess though Rick. :-P

It was G2's nose. Good job Marcia! That was really a tough one considering all 4 Gs have the same nose.

EEEEWWWW

Picture taken January 19, 2009. G3 on left, G2 on right.

G2 and G3 are now seeming to become the best of friends. Before they just kind of tolerated each other. Now they really play together, talk together and really seem to enjoy each others company. In fact I have caught them sneaking into each others beds again.

Here are some fun things the Gs have said to me lately:

G2 and G3 both have started saying to me, "Daddy told me." I'm not sure what Daddy told them, but he sure did tell them. They got this from G1 who says it a lot when he's trying to get away with something he's not supposed to be doing.

Last night at supper G1 said to me, "Sorry for 'pologizing"

G2 says {while holding up 2 fingers} "My (or more, I think she says both) minutes" and then goes back to what she was doing once I acknowledge what she said.

G3 was *changing* G2's diaper this morning--they think they need to change each other's diapers now--evidently G2 was poopy because G3 said, "EEEWWW! WIPE!" and then reached for a wipe. As soon as I saw what was happening and heard this I went and took over.

9-month check-up

Yesterday G4 had her 9-month check-up. Marcia was in town for a few hours and was able to join us.

G4 did not have to get any immunizations. YAY!!! She will go back in 3 months for her 1-year check-up. How in the world is she only 3 months from being a year old?!?! They grow up way too fast.

Oh, you want to know her stats? Okay...

She is 16 lbs 4 oz. She is only up 4 ounces from 6 months, but she is crazy active and still on the charts. So, we are *okay* with this.

She is 27.25 inches tall. She is doing well. And I guess I'm doing a good job with her too, because DOC didn't tell me to change anything.

G4
was in a pretty good mood for the appointment and being goofy.

The picture above is from last week. G4 has taken to falling asleep at the end of supper. She is such a cutie.

Another quiz

I am taking after Marcia and Rick and going to start a quiz of sorts on here. My quiz will be all body parts. You have to guess who the body part belongs to. It may be one of the Gs or anybody else I may have pictures of. I will post the answer and a new quiz whenever I feel like it. You may want to guess now because I may (or may not) post tomorrow.

The winner will get absolutely nothing, except the satisfaction of knowing they got it right. Good luck!

Preschool update-ish

We (The Gs, Grammy and I) went to an Open House for the Preschool yesterday after church (Daddy couldn't get off work). G1 told me while we were there (and then again at home while telling Daddy about going) that he wanted to stay at school. He seems pretty excited. I'm pretty excited for him too. I think it will be really great for him. I'm *hoping* he will be able to be in the same class as his friend that also goes to this preschool.
He will start just after Labor Day.

Thank you again for coming and helping me out Mom.
