The girls and I drove him to school and then we walked to pick him up. He told me that the school day was not long enough. It was only 2.5 hours that first day.
Everyday from the second day to the end of the month they have a 55-minute early dismissal. G1 told me after school Tuesday that it was his favorite day.
G1 sits at a table with only one other little kid. A little boy named James. James also moved here from Burlington. James' parents were in the same prenatal class that Matt and I were in when we were expecting G1. James was born a couple days after G1 and was born just a couple rooms down the hall. About a month and a half after the boys were born we had a prenatal class reunion and so I have pictures of the two boys (as well as two other kids) together at about 6 or so weeks old.
I think it is crazy how things like that work out.

I'm glad he likes school. He must get the desire for a longer day from his father's side because our side never wanted it any longer than possible. What a coincidence that both boys would end up in the same school at the same table. They are starting another important part of their lives together. I wonder how many more firsts they'll be able to have together.
