G4 is over a year old now (pictures from the day at the zoo and her party to come eventually). She is walking all over the place and saying more and more words everyday. Today she said something that sounded exactly like "Where'd it go?" while hiding her sippy cup under the pillow on the couch. It was so cute. She knows she adorable and absolutely uses that to her advantage. She still sleeps with me, which with Matt on 3rd shift I really do like. She is still nursing every couple/few hours. She has five teeth with the sixth one working on coming through. G4 is really starting to love helping out: unloading the dishwasher, throwing things away, putting toys in the basket, etc. She also loves to color. She also cheers for everyone when they use the toilet. We just love having her be a part of our family.
G3 is getting so smart. She knows most of her ABCs in order. She can correctly name most colors. We are working on numbers. We have been working on potty training. If G3 is in "big girl underwear" (real underwear) she will not go in and use the toilet but will instead just go where-ever she is. If she is in "baby underwear" (Pull-Ups) she will go in and go almost every time. It is very strange and really confuses me.
I can almost always count on G3 to cuddle with me. But she is almost my most ornery one. Mom says it's because she is just like I was. I'm not sure what that is really supposed to mean?!? She is the most clumsy and the most fearless of them all. Which really is not a good combination. Poor girl seems to be always getting hurt. But she is quick to brush it off. We feel so blessed to have her wonderful spirit to love.
G2 is a little stinker. I'm never really sure when I'm going to get "Happy G2" or "Cranky G2." I'm pretty sure she gets that from her mother. She is so lovable though.G2 loves to twirl around like a "princess." She has a wonderful imagination. She loves to follow her Bubby around learning things from him (which isn't always good!).
She is so smart too. She is more into numbers than letters. Colors are going okay too.
As far as potty training goes, she is doing pretty well. Nighttime and naps haven't even been attempted really yet. G2 is pretty much day-trained. Except now I got some "Princess baby underwear" so she insists that she has to wear those and not her "big girl underwear." She also will not go in a toilet that is not at home (also gets that from her mother).
G2 is a drama queen. Every bump, bruise, scab, etc is the end of the world and she must have a band-aid for it ASAP (although she rarely gets a band-aid for most things). Once she had a scar (pretty sure she still has it) and for a month or longer she went on and on and on about it telling me multiple times a day that she needed a band-aid for it.
G2 brings so much joy into our lives every day.
G1 is amazing. He is so stinkin' smart. Almost too smart for my own good. He is always trying to learn. Sometimes I don't feel adequate enough to teach him all he desires know. I know that this is when and why he acts out. He is totally a boy and I feel kind of bad that he doesn't have other boys to interact with frequently. G1 will start pre-school in the fall. I think it will be really great for all of us to get that little break. He will also be 4 in just a couple weeks.
We have been having trouble with him and going potty the past week or so. Since we are potty training G2 and G3 I think he is feeling left out. So he has started pooping in his underwear again. ARGH! We are trying hard to praise him when he actually goes in the toilet.
We are so happy to have this little bugger in our family. He really is a lot of fun.
Matt is still on third shift. We don't really like it. But he still has a job so that's good. I'm not sure there is anything new with him (is there ever?).I am still extremely stressed out and overwhelmed. I am thinking about applying for a job at stores in town. I really really do not want to go to work but I need a break from this house and it would be nice to have some extra income.
I finally got Matt and I a doctor here in town. I go see him for the first time next Friday (just to meet him) and then Matt will go see him the following Monday.
I'm sure I missed some important things to update but oh well.
I love the photos. You had a really good photographer, is she for hire? You were pretty accurate on describing the Gs. When I was reading G3s I was thinking G2 and all the while I thought this sounds more like G3 and then it hit me that I had my numbers mixed up for G2 and G3.
