Yesterday we went to the Niabi Zoo. Partially to celebrate G1 and Uncle Benjamin's birthdays and partially just to get out of this town for the day. (Benjamin's birthday is today, he turned 10. Happy Birthday Benjamin!!)
The people that went were: Matt, me and the kids; Mom and Dean; Abby, Kaitlyn and Jesse; John, Cathy, Collin and Benjamin.
Despite the heat we had fun. G1 and the girls enjoyed looking at all the animals. G1 rode on the carousel and on the train. There wasn't anything real spectacular, we just had a nice day.
After the zoo Matt, me, GMF x3, John, Cathy, Collin and Benjamin all went to Chuck E. Cheese. Gavyn really enjoyed playing there (so did Collin and Benjamin, I think). I had never been and I guess it wasn't too bad. The pizza was pretty good.
Then we went to Galesburg on our way back home. We stopped to look at the house we will most likely be buying. G1 hadn't seen the house so we needed to take him to see it. Now we just need to figure out how to make buying a house work for us.
In a nutshell that was our "exciting" day getting out of town.
