Here she is while I was getting the cereal ready.
The first bite:
None of the 3 older Gs liked the cereal at all when they were itty bitty and since I didn't want to waste any cereal or milk I only did a little bit. G4 however absolutely LOVED it. She screamed when we ran out. So, I had to pump some more milk and mix some more up. I gave her the spoon while I pumped. She thought that was great fun.
The older 3 Gs were so engrossed in what was happening. They all thought G4 eating "real food" was the coolest thing. G1 kept giggling about it.
G3 is the "naked" one. She was dancing around the table.
Making silly faces like Mommy does all the time.
After dinner we played for a bit. G1 kept putting his stocking cap on G4. All 4 Gs thought that was hilarious. I wish I would have gotten a video of the laughter. Ah well, maybe next time.
Earlier today G1 put on a pair of G2 or G3's pants and a pair of Daddy's work socks. Isn't he a dork? lol
We went to Iowa earlier this week and visited Rick, Ginny, and Matt's parents and brothers.
While at Rick's G1 (not photographed), G2 and Daddy (not pictured) all got "hog tied" with a jump rope. The 3 older Gs got tossed around a bit.
G1 was "mad" (pretty sure he meant sad) that he didn't get to see Skyler. Hopefully next time.
G2 is in the white shirt and G3 is in the blue.
While at Matt's parents' house I looked over at the desk and saw this picture. It is of John when he was a boy. It is incredible how much it looks like G1. The ears are almost a perfect match (but you can't tell in G1's picture just below). The teeth are so so similar. If G1's hair was a bit longer it would look just alike. There are other similarities too. I just thought it was so cool.
G3 and G2 sat on top of G4. G3 sat on G4's butt so it didn't really bother her. But G2 sat on her back and that was more of an annoyance, so I didn't post a picture of that.
G4 looking out the window.
I have started working on preschool stuff with G1. Here is a picture of him working on tracing the dotted lines to help him learn how to write. He makes the funniest noise while he is writing. I wish I could have gotten the video to load. It's like a swoosh sound.
The other day as Matt was getting ready to leave for work G1 walks up to me and said "Get it out of my nose." I said "Get what out of your nose." "Get it out of my nose." I had him lean his head back so I could try to look. I told him "I don't see anything." "I stuck it up there." I could feel myself start to panic. I called for Matt to come help out. Matt grabbed the flash light and saw something up there. He got the tweezers and pulled it out. It was a balled up piece of tape. No idea where he got it from and no idea why he stuck it up his nose. But man was it gross.
It wasn't that long ago that I was thinking about how glad I was that we had never had to deal with things being stuck up the nose; man was I wrong. Hopefully this was the one and only time. But with 3 more children I'm sure it won't be.
I don't like things in my nose either. How cute is G4! I love the expressions she makes while eating the cereal. It is so hard to believe she is old enough to be eating food :( I know it is rice cereal, but it is still food. She is looking more and more like G1 in her expressions. The expression is great on G3's dancing picture.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a fun post. Thanks! Thanks for coming over also, we had a good time. I figure G1 was trying to remove something else from his nose with the tape, you better check back in there for what it was.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are hilarious. You are right you should have had the camera when G1 put his cap on G4 because we were on the phone and there was an uproar on the other end of the line. It sounded like a riot, but a happy one.
