G4's birthday party

I have lots and lots and lots of things to catch up on.  The whole summer to be exact.  I am going to start with G4's birthday party.  She turned 1 on May 28th and we had her party 2 weeks later on June 11th.  Marcia decorated the cakes and cupcakes (as well as many other things that she helped with).  She (as well as Jacob) also took pictures before, during, and after the party.  Thank you Marcia!  Mom made some food and did edible bouquets for the party.  Thank you Mom!  We had a pretty good turn out at the party.

15-month check-up

G4 had her 15-month check-up on Monday.  She was happy while in the waiting room but by the time we got to the exam room she was ready to leave.  She screamed pretty much the entire time we were in that room.

Everything is right on track.  She is 19.5 pounds (10th percentile) and 30.5 inches (50th percentile and exactly 10 inches shorter than G1 was at his 4-year check-up).  Her head is right above the 50th percentile also.  She goes back at 18 months.

Also her top 2 molars F I N A L L Y broke through her gums yesterday or today.  She has been working on those suckers for over a month!

I have lots of pictures to post at another time (when I get a chance to go through them) and I will update about "Life with the Gs" when I get a chance too.  I hope to get better at this blogging thing again but no promises.

We have a Meet & Greet at G1's preschool this evening.  He is pretty excited about that.  Pre-school starts next Wednesday (the 9th).

What should their group name be?

Video was taken on my phone, so it's not the best quality. You will probably have to turn your volume all the way up to hear. I was facing their backs and couldn't move because G4 was on me. But I thought it was still pretty dang cute.

G1's new language

We are on vacation. Uncle Monkey is with us. G1 has taken to making up his own languages lately. (I remember doing the same when I was little.)
G1 was talking to Uncle Monkey in one of these made us languages. He called Uncle Monkey a "taka." Uncle Monkey inquired as to what that is and G1 responded "a fute." We have no idea what that is either.
When asked what language he was speaking G1 replied "Nuckitpus."

Signs

So, I was going to possibly post some pictures. But the internet on the computer decided not to work. Once again I have to make a post on the BlackBerry.

G4 is starting to sign a little bit more everyday and she's starting to talk more to. Her newest *word* is "nur-nur" which means she wants to nursey-nurse, as we (me and her) call it. The signs she does are: eat, more, please, thank-you, milk, finished. She waves all the time too. She also does a sign for "give it to me"/"I want that" that sign looks a lot like milk just different.

I don't remember what else I was going to blog about so that's it for now.

Oh, this just happened. G1 got sunburnt (I know I'm a bad mommy!). Today his head is starting to peel, his neck was peeling yesterday. When I told him that his head is peeling he told me "I'm like a banana today." It was so funny.

4-year Check-up

This morning we had G1's 4-year check-up/pre-school physical. He weighs 32 lbs (25th precentile) and is 40.5 inches tall (50th percentile). He would do the eye exam so we made him an appointment with the eye doctor for next week. G1 got 3 shots, TB test (go back on Wednesday to check that) and lead test. He did cry but not much. He is such a big boy. Wednesday he goes to the dentist for a cleaning.

Sorry there aren't any pictures. The internet wasn't working on the computer when I tried to post so I had to do this post using the Blackberry.
